Three XLS files: xls_1_sheet (5.6 KB), xls_3_sheets (7 KB) and xls_100_rows (13 KB). XLS is the old binary Excel format used before 2007. It is larger than XLSX for the same data, cannot be read by many modern libraries, and is still common in business and government exports. Use these files to check whether your uploader accepts .xls, whether an importer reads all sheets and 100 rows correctly, and whether it gives a helpful message if the format is not supported. The multi-sheet file is useful for finding code that only reads the first tab.
