tar_gz
One TAR.GZ archive with three files, 164 bytes. This is a TAR bundle compressed with gzip, the usual format for source code and Linux downloads, and it is a two-step container: first gunzip, then untar. The double extension is what makes it a good test. Code that checks only the last extension sees .gz and expects a single file, while the contents are really several. Check that your app detects it correctly, lists the three entries, and does not stop after the first layer. Compare the size with the plain TAR in the tar folder to see what compression saves.
