audio
Audio files, one per format: MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, Opus and WMA. Each is a 1 second 440 Hz tone, the standard A note, so you can tell by ear that a file played and played whole. Compressed formats use low bitrates (16 to 24 kbps), which keeps them between 2 KB and 7 KB. WAV and AIFF are uncompressed, so they are about 16 KB, and FLAC is about 20 KB. One second clips are usually long enough to prove a player, converter or upload handler works, and short enough that a test run stays fast. If you need larger clips, download the manual set
